Bonhoeffer’s Story Illuminated
Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a German pastor and theologian known for his opposition to National Socialism. Bonhoeffer became an important contact for the Church and ecumenical leaders in the United States and Europe. His theological writings are regarded as classics throughout the Christian world. His ties to the July 20, 1944, conspiracy to overthrow the Nazi regime led to his
arrest and eventual execution in the Flossenburg concentration camp in 1945.
