A Cursillo Weekend: Find Hope, Community and Purpose

A Fresh Invitation for Catholic Men of Fairfield County. April 16-19 2026, Holy Mountain Franciscan Retreat Center, Graymoor, NY

This is a three-day experience designed for adult Catholic men who want to explore their faith in a deeper and more intentional way. It’s not a sermon — it’s a journey. Over the weekend you’ll encounter:
  • Engaging talks and real-life witness stories shared by lay men, clergy, and deacons.
  • Small group conversations where you can ask questions, share honestly, and be heard.
  • Community and friendship — genuine connections with other men who are also seeking meaning and spiritual growth.
  • Prayer and worship, including daily Mass and opportunities for reconciliation and reflection.
Cursillo isn’t a retreat filled with distant theology — it’s a lived experience, rooted in friendship, prayer, and listening to God’s voice in the ordinary moments of life.

Why This Weekend Might Matter to You
You don’t need to be a “perfect Catholic” or have all the answers — you just need a yes. Here’s what many men discover:
  • space to slow down and really listen to your life.
  • A chance to see your faith with fresh eyes and renewed hope.
  • Tools to bring your Catholic faith into daily life — at work, home, and in your friendships.
  • A community that supports you beyond the weekend.
The Fourth Day
Cursillo doesn’t end Sunday night. It’s the beginning of a “Fourth Day” — a way of living your faith with others through friendship groups (small weekly gatherings) and Ultreya (monthly gatherings for prayer, fellowship, and encouragement).

Who Is This For? This invitation is for you if:
  • You feel a bit distant from your faith but you sense something stirring inside.
  • You want to connect your Catholic beliefs with your life in a meaningful way.
  • You are curious about faith, hope, and spiritual community but haven’t found the right place yet.
  • You want to be part of something ongoing — not just another workshop, but a genuine faith-sharing network.
No judgment. No pressure. Just an invitation to come as you are — and to experience something that many describe as renewing, grounding, and deeply personal.

What Men Say After the Weekend
  • Feeling closer to God in a tangible way.
  • Building real friendships that last long after the weekend.
  • Finding clarity and peace about what matters most in life.
  • Feeling equipped to live their faith with confidence and courage
These aren’t polished, spiritual ideals — they’re real experiences from real men in our local church community.

Your Next Step — It Begins with a Yes.
Remember, it’s not about being ready, it’s about being willing. If your heart is nudging you — even a little — consider saying “yes” to Cursillo. You won’t be alone. There are men from across Fairfield County who are already part of this community — from Bridgeport to Bethel to Danbury — and they’d be glad to walk with you.
